Battle Gear from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It is with great pleasure that I present Battle Gear, directly converted from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. All textures and model are original.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The model and textures are of extremely high quality, thus using a considerable amount of the game's memory. GTA SA has a small memory limit, and when using the Battle Gear mod in conjunction with other mods, the game will be unable to load some parts of the map around CJ. To avoid this, it is highly recommended that you use memory expansion mods such as Memory Fix (512, 1024, and 2048).

CJ enters the tank in an interesting and realistic way.

The Rail Gun rotates in the same way seen in the original game.

The tank has agility in passing over smaller vehicles.

THAT'S RIGHT!!! THE ORIGINAL BATTLE GEAR!!! IT WAS CUT OUT OF THE METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN, BUT I MADE A MATTER TO BRING IT TO US!!! ENJOY!!!

Updates

Version 1.1 (September 15th, 2021): A small part of the turret now rotates correctly.

Version 1.2 (March 6th, 2022): Missing Railgun and hydraulic parts have now been added, and the dimensions of the model have been proportionately increased to resemble those seen in the original game.

Version 1.3 (July 29th, 2025): The model was ripped and converted from scratch. The previous version had inverted normals and, consequently, didn't reflect light from the environment and other vehicles correctly. Furthermore, the previous version had incorrect scale. Now, the new version has original normals, the same scale as the Venom Snake skin, and engine functionality (smoke and fire come out of the Battle Gear's engine when it's severely damaged).
